Luminous Porecap Glass Tube Slant
Favolaschia manipularis
Favolaschia manipularis glass tube slant culture preserved on sterile nutrient agar for long term storage, genetic preservation, and advanced mycology work. Glass tube slants are highly valued by serious mycologists because they allow cultures to remain stable for extended periods while reducing the need for repeated transfers and minimizing the risk of contamination or culture degradation.
Luminous Porecap is a delicate bioluminescent tropical hardwood decomposer known for its thin translucent stems, pale cream colored caps, and beautifully structured pore surface beneath the cap that resembles fine lace or coral patterns. Under the right conditions the mycelium and fruiting bodies may produce a faint natural glow visible in complete darkness after the eyes adjust, giving this unusual species an almost unreal appearance.
Favolaschia manipularis naturally grows on decaying wood, small branches, and forest debris in warm humid tropical environments. In cultivation it performs well on fine hardwood sawdust, woody substrates, and lignin rich materials with high humidity and fresh air exchange. Its elegant clustered growth habit makes it highly desirable for terrariums, macro photography, educational displays, specialty fungal collections, and advanced mycology research.
This species might be poisonous and at minimum is considered toxic. It is not intended for consumption and is sold strictly for lawful research, microscopy, educational, taxonomic, and collection purposes.
