Conifer Oyster
Pleurotus pulmonarius
10 cc/ml liquid fungi mycology culture syringe with a sterile needle.
Conifer Oyster, Pleurotus pulmonarius, is a fast growing warm weather oyster mushroom known for its pale cream caps, thick flesh, and aggressive colonization. This strain performs especially well in higher temperatures, making it an excellent choice for summer cultivation and warm climate production.
Fruiting bodies develop smooth white to light tan caps that flatten with maturity. The gills run decurrent down the stem and remain bright and clean when grown under proper fresh air exchange. With balanced humidity and airflow, it produces attractive, well formed clusters.
Unlike many oyster species that strongly favor hardwood, this strain shows adaptability and is often associated with conifer substrates. It performs very well on supplemented sawdust, mixed wood, and straw. Colonization is typically rapid and vigorous, allowing for quick turnaround times in production cycles.
This is a reliable and productive oyster variety suited for growers seeking a warm season performer with strong growth characteristics and consistent flush potential.
