Hericium cirrhatum is a distinctive member of the genus Hericium, recognized by its overlapping tiers, cascading tooth like structures, and pale coloration. Unlike the familiar single mass associated with Lion's Mane, this taxon develops in layered formations that give it a markedly different appearance. The genus Hericium belongs to the family Hericiaceae within the order Russulales, and H. cirrhatum represents one of the more unusual forms within the genus. Its tiered architecture and delicate branching spines make it a particularly distinctive taxon for collections featuring uncommon Hericium forms.
