Shiitake S75
Lentinula edodes
10 cc/mL liquid culture
Lentinula edodes is the best known member of the genus Lentinula and has an extensive taxonomic history extending across East Asian mycological literature. The current name was established by David Pegler in 1976, following earlier classifications under Agaricus edodes and Lentinus edodes. The genus Lentinula is placed within the family Omphalotaceae and is separated from Lentinus, despite the historical use of that name. S75 is a designated line of L. edodes, making the S75 designation an important reference when distinguishing this particular line from other shiitake selections.
