Inocutis rheades Glass Tube Agar Slant

Inocutis rheades glass tube slant culture preserved on sterile nutrient agar for long term storage, genetic preservation, and advanced mycology work. Glass tube slants are highly valued by serious mycologists because they allow cultures to remain stable for extended periods while reducing the need for repeated transfers and minimizing the risk of contamination or culture degradation.

Inocutis rheades is an uncommon polypore in the family Hymenochaetaceae, formerly placed in Inonotus and related genera. This species produces annual bracket like fruiting bodies with warm yellow brown to rusty brown tones and a poroid underside. It is most often associated with deciduous trees, including Populus, Salix, and Alnus, where it contributes to natural decomposition and nutrient cycling.

Inocutis rheades readily colonizes suitable substrates under appropriate conditions and is well suited for educational cultivation, specialty fungal collections, display work, decomposition studies, and advanced mycology research. Its taxonomic history, association with deciduous trees, and relatively limited availability make it an interesting addition to serious fungal culture collections.
